This watercolour is of a Dartmoor gateway and ancient hedge, from where we sat having our lunch. A4

We have met up with Katie, Will, Oliver and Ed for a walk and ‘adventure’ on Dartmoor. At Will & Katie’s suggestion we have come to Lustleigh, which is a lovely Devon village. The church bells were ringing forth when we arrived. We walked through the orchard and up the steep path, leading on towards Hunter’s Tor.

All the way up, through the bouldery, mossy oakwood the boys are looking out for dinosaurs or dragons!
A large cave is found, which could be the home of some such creature. Unfortunately, the creature appears not to be at home at the moment…

At Hunter’s Tor, we stop for lunch, sheltered out of the wind by a clump of gorse. Before having a look at the small iron age hill fort on the very top. A really lovely walk that we all enjoyed and the boys did fantastically, walking all the way.

This sketch is for sale at £48 + p&p. The image size is 21.5 x 29.5″ in a mount and ready for framing. Would fit in a standard 30 x 40 cm frame.
