More sketches of the Oystercatchers on the Exe Estuary. I liked the way that some of them stood on one leg and if they needed to move, as the tide encroached, they hopped along. Also in the same area where Wigeon, Turnstones, Little Gulls and Sanderlings. The Sanderlings would all take off in a flock, swirl around and the descend in more or less the same place.
Sketching through the binoculars is a bit disjointed but OK once you get used to it ~ after a while you don’t notice. Pencil with watercolour washes ~ A4
£48 + p&p – 35.3 x 25.2 image size, would fit in a standard 40 x 50 cm frame
