'Brunel Bicentenary'
1806 ~ 1859This commemorative issue from Guernsey Post celebrates the Bicentenary of Isambard Kingdom Brunel (1806 ~ 1859), his engineering masterpiece the Great Western Railway and it’s part in delivering the mail to Guernsey. This issue depicts the Guernsey mail as it travels from Paddington Station over the Wharncliffe Viaduct to Weymouth, from there via the Channel Island Steam Packet to Guernsey docks. This issue was mostly painted and airbrushed with acrylics.
