St Swithun’s

Out sketching with the lad, he wanted to draw the lychgate of Woodbury’s St Swithun’s Church.
So here’s my version. We are starting to lose the light, as dusk draws in.
It’s great that my, not so little anymore, lad enjoys coming out sketching with his ‘Dear old Dad’.
It was very pleasant to be sat alongside him sketching away together.
Materials Used
I am using a small A5 Daler Rowney, Red & Yellow cartridge pad, that I can easily slip in a pocket. I like to use a black brush pen for the immediacy of it. You can make bold marks quickly, without the need to carry a bottle of ink and a brush. Though I do probably prefer to use them, this is cleaner, quicker, and easy for tonight.
