‘Oil Painting – Denise’s Grandad’

This is an oil painting commission I’ve just finished. It was commissioned by my friend Denise, for a portrait of her pipe smoking, moustached, Grandad. Who used to be in the Royal Lifeguards (hence the fantastic moustache!) I really enjoyed painting him and hope I managed to capture the twinkle in his eyes.

Materials Used

I used Winsor & Newton, Artists’ oil paints on stretched canvas ~ about 30 x 40 cm.
